OUR APPROACH

  • We are passionate about creating vibrant, sustainable communities that improve the lives of our residents and the neighborhoods in which they live. As the nationwide affordable housing crisis deepens across the country, we are constantly searching for innovative solutions for providing high-quality affordable and workforce housing to those who need it most. Our design-forward approach aims to be both cost-effective while providing exceptional returns for our investors. We are actively engaged in professional industry associations to constantly learn and share insights about how we can collectively solve the challenges related to housing, sustainability and responsible development.

  • As a vertically-integrated, private equity real estate firm, we factor ESG principals into decisions on investment opportunities that apply throughout the lifecycle of the assets in our portfolio. This includes striving to obtain relevant market data and industry insights to inform our investment analysis from the time of sourcing through the acquisition, planning, delivery, operation and disposition stages. This process governs both investment theses and operational planning across our companies, helping us to holistically manage risk and drive accretive value to our investments.

  • At Alta Bay Capital, ESG is fundamental to who we are. Our approach begins with adherence to our mission, vision and values. ESG principles are discussed by our investment team as each new investment opportunity is identified. Together, our managers evaluate each deal, its risks, and opportunities, while addressing ESG factors throughout each stage of the investment process. Our legal experts, advisors and leadership team review each proposal to ensure it stands up to scrutiny. After an investment opportunity is approved, it is continually monitored by the management team and operational plans are put in place to manage risk throughout the life of the asset. ESG integration and compliance is continually reviewed by Alta Bay’s leadership.
